About Our Candles
Each candle is hand-poured in our little cottage in Dorset. Every jar is blended, wicked, and finished by hand, ensuring a truly personal touch in every batch.
We use a purely plant-based wax, it’s renewable, vegan, and free from paraffin and palm. It gives a creamy, even burn with no sooty residue.
Yes. All of our candles are vegan-friendly and never tested on animals. We only work with trusted UK fragrance suppliers who meet IFRA and CLP safety standards.
We use high-quality fragrance oils designed especially for candles. Many are inspired by life in the English countryside, think rose gardens, bramble hedgerows, and fresh linen days.
Yes. Our candles burn cleanly and evenly when used correctly. Always trim your wick to around 5 mm before each burn to prevent smoking or tunnelling.
Our standard 220g jars burn for around 40 hours. For the best results, let your candle melt fully to the edges on the first burn.
Absolutely! Once finished, gently warm the jar to remove any remaining wax, wash it with warm soapy water, and reuse it for tealights, flowers, or storage.

Delivery & Orders
We normally dispatch orders within 2–3 working days. Once shipped, Royal Mail or courier delivery usually takes 2–5 days. You’ll receive an email when your parcel is on its way.
We offer a flat rate for UK mainland delivery, shown at checkout. Occasionally, we run free delivery promotions, sign up to our newsletter for these updates.
No, but our candles are currently available at 1855 in Sturminster Newton, with more locations coming soon.
At the moment, we only deliver across the UK, but we’re looking into expanding soon.
If your order arrives damaged, please email info@petershamcottagecandles.co.uk within 48 hours with a photo of the packaging and damaged candle, and we’ll happily send a replacement.
Yes. You can return unused candles in their unopened original packaging within 30 days.
